Avoin, Moiry, and Torrent Alps are known for their Hérens cattle. In the past, almost all of the population relied on mountain agriculture. Therefore, the oldest drops can be over 125 years old. Each year, new wine is added to the casks and the casks are never completely emptied. The village itself is the only place where you can try this wine. In the wine world, Grimentz is typically associated with the Valais “sherry” called Glacier Wine. North of the village lies a small chapel dedicated to Saint-Théodule, which is quite quaint. They date back to the 16th century and were built next to one another.
